CZECH OPERA MASTERWORKS PROGRAM
June 11th- August 6th 2010

Course Overview:

-LANGUAGE CLASSES (June 15-30) provide a strong foundation of working knowledge to perform your scene with the same thoroughness of preparation, commitment and specificity that you have been trained to bring to Italian, French or German.

-VOCAL COACHINGS (July 1- 14) by renowned opera coaches William Hobbs, and Djordje Nesic.

-SCENE CLASSES (July 15- August 4) led by stage director Kara-Lynn Vaeni

-ROLES: Singers will be cast in roles wholly appropriate to their voice type and level.

Roles available for every voice type and may be double cast. Principal roles are:

Rusalka (Water Sprite), soprano
Water Gnome, baritone
Ježibaba (Witch), low mezzo
Prince, tenor
Foreign Princess, high mezzo

TUITION: $750 (a limited number of merit based scholarships are available)

Classes begin June 15th, and culminate with a concert at the Bohemian National Hall in New York City August 6th, 2010
