OPERA SLAVICA PRESENTS DVORAK’S RUSALKA
This summer, learn to sing in Czech and be a part of Opera Slavica’s first full production as we present Dvořák’s Rusalka in a full production with piano at the Bohemian National Hall in New York City!
All roles may be double cast. Cover/role study possibilities available. All participants will be given extensive language and musical coaching-- previous knowledge or experience of Czech not required.
Roles available for every voice type and may be double cast. Principal roles are:
Rusalka (Water Sprite), soprano
Water Gnome, baritone
Ježibaba (Witch), low mezzo
Prince, tenor
Foreign Princess, high mezzo

Opera Slavica is devoted to presenting Slavic Opera masterpieces and comprehensively training American singers in Slavic language skills. Our company presents a variety of Slavic performances from intimate song recitals to complete operatic performances, both in concert and staged settings.

Opera Slavica also develops partnerships with performers and organizations in Central Europe and Russia. Part of our mission is to see that Opera Slavicaʼs singers will be given opportunities to perform with native-speaking singers with the same degree of success as can be seen in Italian, French or German on stages all over the world.
